Mooncake celebration II

It's the mid autumn festival tonight! :)

Looking forward to whatever mooncakes left over in the fridge after the family celebrated it on Saturday when I was away in Cebu!

Just before I left for my unit trip, here's some mooncakes we tried from Xin Cuisine.

 Love the blue yellow combi (not on clothes of course). The best of the 3!

Lotus paste with champagne truffle. 

 Green tea paste with bailey's truffle.

Cebu was beautiful! Too bad I only took hf photos on my iPhone. :(

Will try to source for camera pictures.

We saw a very creative cake shop! :)

 Crepes were really cheap at about less than 3SGD for an upsized one.

Mooncake celebration I

Just an update before I head off to the sunny island of Cebu - The Philippines without my camera charger! My spare batt has around 2 bars of life left. Still bugged by the camera charger but I'm sure someone will be bringing an awesome camera (crosses fingers).

Saturday brunch at Jones the Grocer with the Melbourne gang!

D finally came back from the UK and after a whole year, this is our very first gathering and marking many more to come!

Crowded especially with the h&m hype just across the road.

Didn't take many pictures cos they didn't turn out as expected, too many unglam candid shots.

 HAHA, oolong tea for subs but it was nicely chilled on a hot night like this.

 Raffles hotel champagne truffle and gauche was da bomb! Definitely not sparing on the calories included.

Tried to profess my love for N but I forgot it's mirror inverted! :(

The amount of smoke produced from the sparklers was choking us. Haha, next time, buy those sparklers that produce less smoke. (Do not buy TNT sparklers.)

More mooncakes! Tried the peony jade durian snowskin too. Don't think I'll be spending 51 bucks on it next year though.

Holiday Inn Atrium's Xin Cuisine. 

I'll probably buy a box of 7 blue snowskin durian ones next year. It's blue and how cool is that?!

The rest just had an overwhelming taste of alcohol that sends a burning sensation down your throat after taking a bite from the centre. But the filling's not bad.

In preparation for Cebu this coming weekend with the unit! :)

Feeling quite uneasy about my camera charger. What a bad bad time to misplace such an important thing especially when I'll be going to the wonderful chio island of Cebu with its pristine private beaches. I feel slightly depressed already.

Hopefully someone else brings along a good camera.

old habits die!

Had more pics of my dinner at Crystal Jade but it wasn't saved on my iPhone despite the upload on instagram, how unreliable! :(

Minced meat spicy la mian that was really awesome, our fav la mian at CJ. 

Scallion with pork floss, it was basically prata + pork floss really. But N likes it.

Spent today at Jones the Grocer at Mandarin Gallery for brunch with the Melbourne friends then was freaked out by the queue at HMS so N and myself decided to head home to take care of Beamer.

We had a mini mooncake festival celebration and my camera batt had to die while capturing the moments. And I can't find my camera charger at the moment. I really hope to find it before this Wed cos I'll be meeting old hall friends to celebrate mooncake festival and before I leave for the unit trip on Thurs midnight! It's times like these I really learn to treasure my helper at home and not take them for granted especially when I'm looking for my misplaced items. Sigh.

Time to slp and wake up to a brand new day.
