Holiday Part III with recent OFTDs!

Hi guys!

I'm proud of myself for being diligent in updating frequently throughout this whole week!

Some OFTD's I've been posting up since I'm on leave this week and I've been trying to dress up a bit. Followed by blogging peeks into my stay in transfer flight from Siam Reap to Bangkok - not much pics about the place itself, more on the hotel room and the FOODDD!! :)

Sorry but somehow if you noticed, my OFTDs are always taken slanted. Due to my Sony Xperia (LOUSY PHONE, please consider before getting one), it's been hard posting my camera pics in instagram due to the incompatible dimensions of the photos taken with my current phone. So I always have to tilt it so I get more of the photo featured on instagram whenever I crop it.

In Jaynelles upcoming watercolour floral floucy dress. Probably launching sometime next week, in 2 watercolour prints - blue and yellow.

In a Crochet top from Valleygirl & Crochet denim shorts from an online shop!

Zaira Bustier Aztec Top! Left in last few pieces in both sizes S and M, from Jaynelles!

Super yums from Botan Japanese Restaurant at Far East Square! I'll totally go back there for the salmon sushi, egg and tempura!

Waffles at Gelare with cookie dough ice-cream, 3 ladies polished it off in a jiffy!

Couldn't help getting this from Topshop, in Brocade fabric at a reasonable price! This was under new arrivals so I was a happy camper today being able to purchase this in a UK6! Another work dress / event worthy dress to add to my bursting wardrobe! Still very much in love with this cos it defines my waistline very nicely!

Day 3 to 6 - Siam Reap -> Bangkok

We did some last minute exploring of our hotel before we set off to catch our flight at 3pm.

Spa & gym!

When we got to the airport, a heavy downpour had just begun and there were pretty strong winds blowing so they delayed our flight for about 30 mins.

We took Bangkok Airways for our route from SR to BKK and the journey took only 1 hour. The flight tix weren't cheap, we had to pay around SGD200 for a one way ticket.

Fruits, a muffin, some sandwiches and a croissant!

Our Bangkok hotel! Cozy comfy interior decor, what more could we ask for?

We gorged ourselves with Pad Thai & Mango sticky rice while in BKK and we loved it!

Lunch at MBK - it's at the lowest floor, near the supermarket! I forgot the name of the cafe but it's a small one!

Very interesting concept of a bamboo container of steamed rice.

Lunch at Platinum Mall - Top floor food court!

Till the next update! I'm gonna catch up on one episode of running man!

And photoshoot this weekend with The Fall Ensemble II, almost 90% of the collection are printed dresses, tops & shorts! It's gonna be challenging without A around, have a safe & fruitful trip my dearest partner! Will miss not having you around to co-hold the fort. :)

xoxo,

Holiday part II!

Hi guys!

I'm gonna cover my trip a day at a time, skipping Bangkok cos all we did there was SHOPPP and played a bit of lan gaming so not many pics taken while we were busy stuffing our faces with food and filling our hands with bags of purchases. I miss our holiday already!

Day 2: Siam Reap

We started off the day waking up at an unearthly hour, 4am to be exact cos our tour guide was waiting for us at 5am downstairs our hotel lobby. Tour was priced at USD20 each for entrance fee and USD65 for the driver and tour guide to bring us around. The prices vary based on whether you intend to see the sunrise, full day tour or half day tour and I think they are pretty standard.

Locals in the tourism industry are really milking the cows for dough. In the end, we covered the area so quickly, we managed to get back to the hotel at 12 plus even though we paid for a full day tour! Anyway, we were kinda exhausted so we were dying to get back to the hotel to rest so we decided to see whether we could bargain the price down but to no avail. :(

Given my persuasive skills, we only cut USD5 bucks off the tour price though I felt quite ripped off cos they could have covered more ground! We only covered the inner perimeter with our half day tour. It was still awesome nonetheless!

Pics of Angkor Wat at dawn:

Tons and tons of tourists.

The tour guide took a shot of us through a leaf, pretty interesting eh!

Water named after this place, spot it in the next pic!

Yeah, N fights crime. Doesn't he look like superman?

Tomb raider was filmed at this location.

The steps at these places were no joke, so super steep. Just one miscalculated step and you could be sent home with a broken back!

After taking a short break at the hotel, we came out in search of lunch!

I love the tom yum gong! Sweet and not too spicy.

For dinner, we booked a local buffet which served Cambodian food with local performances. It was at Angkor Mondial Restaurant. Had part 2 of night market shopping with a full belly.

Till the next update! :)

xoxo,
Jan
