fruits of our labour

TGIF - and I mean this like I never did before.

Some OFTDs during the week, most days I simply had to dash out of the house cos I was late.

Damn cute doggy spotted outside my house while otw to work. <3

Looking forward to the long weekend, and watching the recording of the Royal Wedding! :)

a long and tiring weekend.

Happy Easter Sunday everyone!
Hope we all had a well-rested weekend (not for me). Here's a summary of my weekend.

--
Tagged along with N to the Megatex IT fair which took place over the weekend.

WIW:
Black ruffled top by Hula&Co, Shantung silk skirt from Smooch, HoH-inspired Tribal necklace from shophaus

It's all happening at Expo hall 6!

We headed down to our fav ulu east side hangout (cos it's near my place - our fav hangout at his place is IMM!) at Downtown East for dinner and a movie before my sad weekend started. :)

Nihon Mura!

Hardly looks appetizing. It was horrible, I told myself not to have this again.

I still love salmon, alot.

Nom noms.

We caught this movie - A Chinese Ghost Story cos it was like a romantic show with Liu Yi Fei acting as the female lead. N was raving about her acting though after watching it, I really think it was her looks that N was raving about.

We stumbled upon this cafe tucked away in a corner. It's a cosy place with affordable prices, we'll probably go try it the next time we're there! :)

Had to kill extra time cos we were still too early for the movie, we went to try the yogurt stall called Yogurt. The yogurt was sourish, I expected it to be a bit like ice-cream. Think Frolick, yummy!

Many flavours to choose!

Ordered the original ice-cream waffle and the passion fruit yogurt float. :)
N likes this waffle more than the Gelare (see below) waffle. He prefers less sugar, the healthier option. But I like Gelares!

N's choice of waffle.

My choice of waffle. I think mine wins hands down.

So anyway, we came back with the loots from the Megatex IT fair and N got down to assembling it the very next day while I had to work from home that day. And well, the subsequent 2 days were spent slogging in the office.. I'm so not looking forward to work tomorrow and the rest of the week.

Just as the picture suggests, my mood was as black as the background while on the way to work on both Saturday and Sunday.

I thought this was quite cute. And yup, there are many tourists sightseeing Raffles Place area on weekends. And only lao pa sat is open on weekends.

LUNCH ta bao-ed.

I woke up, rushed to church for Easter service without make-up on. I should be stoned for this picture. :(
N came to pick me up for church, my mum was already in church as she was participating in the church choir. Had to report to work immediately after church service.

WIW:
Forever21 knit dress in navy and tribal charms necklace, HVV Bocce flap jacket in wenge

Gotta battle another week at work.
Have a blessed week everyone. We should be looking forward to the Royal Wedding telecast on Friday, then a long weekend break again. <3

Get high and waisted.

Sorry for the blurry pics!

Just received my Shantung silk skirt from Smooch, the material is absolutely fab but it looks a bit puffy on me, hope that it doesn't come across as not well-fitted.

I'm a UK6-8, took size S in Cream.

One of my fav blouses at the moment - it's so versatile, you can wear it with shorts or a high waisted skirt for casual/work days.

I'm quite into the trend of basics, skirts, tops to mix and match. I bought another skirt of longer length and the satchel bag in layette (pastel blue) recently, see below. I love how it can be matched to portray different styles, the look on the left is uber chic.

I've got the hots for high waisted skirts now!
Just gotta spice up the outfit with some mix and match and versatile slouch tops.

It's Thursday and we're all looking forward to the long weekend! Of cos for those in my profession, at least one day of the holidays will be spent in the office. :(

Toodles for now! <3

red, yellow, pink and green. purple, orange and blue.

Beautiful grey Monday.
Woke up to the sight of a slightly gloomy sky with streaks of the 7 colours of the rainbow just outside my window.

OFTD:
Double Collar Pleated Chiffon top in folkgrey from MGG, Grey belted work skirt from G2000, colourblock heels from Charles & Keith

Spot the tiny rainbow between the buildings

The major reason why life is good for now. <3

Credits to my partner in crime for the pic and helping me get this! :)
It's a really big bag for just a teeny necklace, but she says the box packaging is divine and mad chio! Therefore, I'll definitely have to take pics of it in its full glory when it arrives in Sg. And I'm a very happy girl!

Anw, I've seriously gotta do something about my left eye. N was telling me about workaholics who go blind due to work-related stress and long hours in front of the computer and that I should go seek treatment soon! I don't wanna go blindddd! :(

the church mouse.

My urbanog shoes from the previous blog post went oos. :( It's okay, money saved!

Anyway, my dearest partner in crime is now in Europe indulging in food and shopping. Envious, but I can't wait to see pics and her Zara, Chanel, Ferragamo loots. :)

Just a short quick update on my weekend with N:

Pics by N. I look horrible cos of my eye. See below, it's really quite gross.
Check out my new silver cross accessory from Forever21! :)

Pictures are without photoshop effects. Eww, just looking at it now makes my eyes feel uncomfortable.

Red eyes aside, I still wanted to go to Pet Safari at Eastpoint to see the Australian breed Golden Retriever! It's a pity I wasn't allowed to photograph the pups but they were soooo lovable. I'm really a dog crazy person now. Please please let me focus on my biz full-time soon so that I can have time to train a dog. :D

On the super jammed PIE

After we left Pet Safari, we went to see the local breed of Golden Retrievers at Pasir Ris Farmway.

Random pictures of stuff:

I bought this pair of petal ruffled flats while on the way home from church on Sunday as a replacement for my Ivory pair of sequin flats. I unfortunately own more heels than flats and more heels than a normal person should have. Age is catching up with me which seems to be especially evident since I started work not too long ago. Fatique and tiredness has become a part of my life. :(

Mini me, but not as mini as the Mini.

Spent Sunday at church and lunching at Sarpinos (highly recommended cos it's value for money and very good, though it's a lil' salty and oily). packing our cupboard(s) of shoes, and I think my Mum and I easily threw out/gave away more than 60 pairs combined.

Spring cleaning is tough work, so think twice before you buy on impulse.
There were a bunch of them which were brand new in box.

Alright, I've gotta stop blogging here and get ready for bed. The next 2 weeks comprises of late night OTs and weekend OTs. When your colleague tells you to prepare for the worst case scenario, you gotta believe it.
