A continuation to...
Sydney Part I
I've been down with some throat bacteria infection since last Wednesday/Thursday and it was so annoying to want to cough though you're trying to control your cough. :\
Anyway, here's Sydney Part II:
Day 4:
My solo journey to Oxford St!
As B was feeling under the weather, she opted to rest in the apartment while I planned to venture out on my own to explore for the afternoon before our dinner at Cafe Sydney.
Snapped plenty of pics of local boutiques as well as street snaps cos it was the first day the sun was out while I was there - it being Winter while I was there, the weather was gloomy more often than not.
Sportsgirl sales - bags going from A$30! :))
The dresses here are like A$79.90 & the bags go for A$35?
Loved the neon lime clutch well hidden behind the pink clutch but it had a stain on it. :(
Where A listers all come to shop - Camilla & Marc, Sass & Bide, Zimmerman, Alannah Hill..
Oxford St is home to Paddington Markets where the bustling market opens during weekends from 9am to 4pm. Too bad I wasn't around for another weekend to check it out.
Met up with B at 4pm, since I skipped lunch, I bought a red velvet cupcake to tide me through till dinner.
Dinner was planned at Cafe Sydney! At Customs House 5th floor which had a spectacular view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Thank God for the awesome weather (a rare breezy, not raining night - it rained alot even at night when we were there!)
Boo to my Olympus-Pen, it captures night shots as though the lens were covered with sand paper. A pity. :(
Best garlic naan I've had!
Seared Scallops.
Grilled Barramundi.
Beef Tenderloin.
Warm pear tart.
Day 5:
We went to The Rocks for Pancakes (on the rocks)!
The savoury breakfast pancake set was lip smacking finger licking good but our bellies were full after one pancake set, we couldn't really stomach the dessert chocolate & butter pancakes! We had the idea of buying back the pancake mix but the staff said they were all stocked out! That dashed our hopes of savouring the pancakes back at home.
Marshmallow hot choc.
Everything on this plate was to die for.
B wanted to see Oxford St so with the little daylight we had, we went back to Crown St - adjacent to Oxford St where there were many vintage stores.
We fixed a quick dinner at our apartment and enjoyed the night just listening to the oldies top 10 on the billboard charts on MAX (Aussie's equivalent of our MTV).
Looks yummier than it looks.
Day 6:
We headed for Paddy's Markets at Market City to buy back Macadamia nuts & some souvenirs.
Nandos!
Day 7:
We spent the day doing the touristy stuff, like visiting the city attractions.
We spent the day doing the touristy stuff, like visiting the city attractions.
Had Guylian for lunch - Salmon pie & hot dark choc (i want another cuppa!)
Loved all my shopping loot!
Last breakfast in Syd airport.
Bought Krispy Kreme for the family!
xoxo,
Jan
